Why it sits where it does
Its rigid bicyclic skeleton makes it less mobile than open-chain monoterpenes, but its low mass still makes it evaporate quickly.
Where else you meet it
Pine, rosemary, ginger, and many conifer-needle oils. Also an industrial raw material for synthesising camphor.
