Eucalyptus globulus essential oil
Eucalyptus globulus
Bạch đàn xanh · Myrtaceae
Camphor and leaf, with a sharp edge from the very start. It stays dry from beginning to end, with no sweetness to hold on to.
This is the smell most Vietnamese people call khuynh diệp. It is direct and hides nothing, so one sniff is enough to remember it, and remember it for a long time.
Precisely because it is so simple, it is the most adulterated oil in its group: synthetic 1,8-cineole is cheap and so similar that the nose usually cannot tell. The lot analysis is the only reliable way to know.
